Ingredients:
- 2 Oslinc Ostrich fillets (or steaks) approx 150 gms each
- 2 tablespoons of virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of Worcester Sauce
- 2 cloves of crushed garlic juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons of double cream
- I good tot of Whiskey
Method:
- Add the virgin olive oil, Worcester sauce and crushed garlic to a frying pan over a medium heat.
- Add the Ostrich fillets and pour the lemon juice over the meat.
- Quickly seal the meat each side then cook for a further 2 to 3 minutes each side. (Remember Ostrich fillets and steaks are very low in fat and should be served rare to medium for best results).
- When the meat is cooked remove from the pan and allow it to rest on warm plates.
- Add to the juices in the frying pan, the Dijon mustard, double cream and whiskey, stir together for approx I minute then pour over the fillets.
To Serve:
Serve with accompaniments of your choice or for an impressive quick meal serve with garlic bread and Greek style salad.
