Ostrich Stroganoff - Serves 2  


Ingredients:

  • 300g Oslinc Ostrich fillet or steak, thinly sliced.
  • 45ml (3 level tbsp) seasoned flour.
  • 50g (2oz) English butter
  • 1 onion, skinned and thinly sliced.
  • 225g (8oz) mushrooms, wiped and sliced.
  • 150ml (5oz) soured cream
  • salt and freshly ground pepper.

Method:

  • Cut Ostrich into strips and coat in seasoned flour.
  • Fry the onions and mushrooms in half the butter untill soft.
  • Add the remaining butter and meat and cook for approx 2 minutes stir in the sour cream and season well, using plenty of pepper.
  • Heat to temperature and serve at once with rice.
